Invitation to tender for gardening services

Sandyport Homeowners Association is inviting tenders from reputable gardening contractors to maintain the property in accordance with the specification set out below. If you are interested in bidding for the work, please email tenders@sandyportmanagement.com and we will contact you to arrange a date when you can survey the property.

PLEASE DO NOT CALL OR VISIT WITH RESPECT TO THIS OPPORTUNITY UNLESS WE HAVE REQUESTED THAT YOU DO SO IN RESPONSE TO YOUR PROPOSAL.

Frequently asked questions:

Q. Is there a list of points of connection for the irrigation system?

A. Not on a plan. Arrangements can be made to view the site and be given direction to the limited irrigation points on the property.

Q. What is the total amount of Homes in the area?

A. About 400 active and 100 under development.

Q. Is there a maintenance schedule established by the development that outlines the expected mowing schedule etc?

A. Yes, the schedule is published here.

Q. Is there a set window of start and stop times?

A. Between 7:30am and 5pm during normal business hours.

Q. Is there a staging area that can be used as a compound to set up a small trailer for equipments, tools and other supplies to be used specifically for the development?

A. Yes. It is equipped with a storage, parking, office, telephone and wireless internet.

Q. Is there a process by which the contract will be adjusted to cover any new homes that may be requiring maintenance?

A. No. The contract is for one year and the development grows at about 5% per annum (measured by square footage). However empty lots are maintained also.

Q. What is the dead line for the maintenance submission?

A. September 10, 2016.

Q. Do you know how many square feet the yards are?

A. No. However the overall development is 144 acres and the average home is 2,300 sft.

Q. Who is responsible for pest control & fertiliser supplies?

A. The Association is responsible for the common areas and the owners are responsible for their private properties.

Q. Who is responsible for pruning of trees over 7ft tall?

A. Refer to the specification.

Q. How often should the property be serviced?

A. Refer to the specification.

Q. Who are responsible for removing of debris?

A. The waste disposal contractor removes debris from the property.

Q. Can we leave our trailer on the premises?

A. Yes, in the allocated compound referred to above.
