2014 AGM Nominations

The Annual General Meeting will take place at the Gazebo located in Phase 5 (adjacent to the pond) on Friday March 28th, 2014 commencing at 5:00pm. Nominations to serve on the Board of Directors will be accepted until Friday March 14th, 2014. Nominations should be made by email to nominees@sandyportmanagement.com and include a short biography together with a photograph.

Constantinos Berdanis

Mr. Constantinos J Berdanis started his Development and Construction Company in 1995. The community which he chose was Sandyport because he saw great potential and at the time Sandyport was quite undeveloped. Mr. Berdanis first project was a home on Happylane. Since then he has built over thirty homes and townhouses in Sandyport. He developed Palms West a gated community in the Cable Beach area from infrastructure to completion. Mr. Berdanis lived in Florida for a few years and acquired international experience developing spec. homes and commercial malls. His knowledge and expertise would be a great asset in assisting the committee in reaching their goals. Mr. Berdanis is married with three boys and has lived in Sandyport for many years.

Dr. Marcella Elliott-Ferguson

Photo of Dr. Marcella Elliott-FergusonI am a Bahamian whose parents hail from Andros and Exuma. My husband, Kendal Ferguson, is also a Bahamian hailing from Exuma. My husband is the Chief Superintendent at the Ministry of Health. We have two adult sons, one daughter-in-law and one granddaughter.

I am an associate professor of Mathematics Education at The College of The Bahamas. Currently, I am serving as the Interim Registrar of the institution, assisting in the transition to the University of The Bahamas. I have been employed at COB for just over 27 years. Prior to this position, I have taught mathematics and trained persons who were in training to be mathematics teachers. I have represented COB at several conferences and I have had two faculty exchanges at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia and Rhodes University in South Africa.

I have also served as the Mathematics Consultant to the Catholic Board of Education.

I have earned degrees from COB, McGill University in Montreal and University of Miami. I also have numerous years of experience at COB, IBM Bahamas Ltd. and other companies where I had the opportunity to be a consultant.

I am fairly fluent in French, enjoy swimming, travelling, reading and quilting.

I am a volunteer with the Bahamas Red Cross Society serving for more than 10 years. I am involved with Disaster Planning and also assist in the delivery of some training initiatives.

Anthony Miaoulis

Anthony MiaoulisMarried with 2 children. Lived in Sandyport for 12 years and presently live on Kingfisher Island. Realtor/Developer for Mosko Realty and Pineapple House Development.
